(and i'm hungry too)

it was still Good Friday about one and a half hours ago.

more than 12 hours ago i was sitting in the pew, near the front, near the pastor. my mother sat next to me; she wasn't at the chinese service today, as my dad had flown to perth for a few days. the pastor spoke with a smile on his face. i thank God for no signs of sleepiness to distract me from the sermon today. and then the pastor spoke, and He, the one who died for me on the cross this very day, many many years ago, spoke to my heart.

the pastor said, "we Christians struggle with doubts about our faith. it's okay to have doubts, don't suppress it! there was once i was with my friend, reminiscing about the past. and he grabbed my hand and said, 'Mal, tell me again that the gospel is true.' and i told him, 'it is true! it has been verified against history that Jesus died the way He said He would. Why then, shouldn't you believe the other things He said too?'"

and it suddenly became clear, and then i understood.

if the gospel wasn't true, if my Lord and my saviour Jesus Christ did not die for my sins, and if He did not rise again 3 days later...then my faith would be futile. then the faiths of so many people all around the world would be folly.

can so many people be wrong?

what do YOU believe?
